⁴¹ Let what is inside be given as alms to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.

⁴² “Woe to you Pharisees! You pay tithes^[a] of mint and rue and every garden herb, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced these without neglecting the others.

⁴³ “Woe to you Pharisees! You love to have the best seats in synagogues and to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces.
